Part 1 of this 2-part series follows American documentarian, River Rainbow Hagg as he travels to war-torn Syria, in hopes of documenting stories of the worst humanitarian crisis since WWII. He quickly realizes he has to do more than point his camera and uses his limited medical knowledge and joins a unit of foreign volunteers as they provide medical aid to civilians, YPG fighters, and ISIS.
